Turn your clothing store into a mobile app

Build a clothing app without writing code

Put your fashion brand on your customers' home screens: drop alerts, restock-in-your-size notifications, wishlists and app-only collections, in native iOS and Android apps built from the store you already run.

Why fashion brands stall before launching an app

Fashion brands know their best customers would use an app. The hard part is everything that sits behind the store.

Size guides, colour variants, fit apps, reviews with photos, try-on tools, loyalty and returns portals all live on the website. A native rebuild means re-creating every one of them, and template app builders usually drop half. So the app waits while drops sell out on mobile web and Instagram sends traffic somewhere you don't own.

The guide below covers the whole path. If your store already looks good on a phone, the app is the short part, because Twinr builds it from the site you already run.

Why an app

Your regulars, one tap from the next drop

Fashion runs on newness. An app puts every drop, restock and edit in front of the people most likely to buy it, before it sells out.

Next to Instagram, not behind it

Your icon sits beside the apps your customers scroll every day, without an algorithm deciding whether they see your new collection.

Drops that don't get missed

A push for a new collection or limited run lands on the lock screen, at the moment it goes live.

Early access for insiders

App-only previews, members-first sales and VIP pricing give your best customers a reason to keep the app.

Wishlists that sell

Saved items and back-in-your-size alerts turn browsing into orders, without a single retargeting ad.

Step by step

How to build a clothing app without code

Five steps from first call to a live app. We do the work; you bring the assets and sign off where it matters.

  1. Kickoff

A short onboarding call to agree how your app should feel, what customers see first and how drops are handled. You share access to your store and your Apple and Google developer accounts.

  2. Build and integrate

We build the app on your live store, with your tab bar and navigation rules. Size guides, fit tools, photo reviews, loyalty and checkout carry across as they are, and you get a working preview on your own phone early.

  3. Customize and test

Design and navigation tuned to your brand, with push notifications and analytics set up in Twinr. We test product pages, variants and checkout on real iOS and Android devices, then you give the final sign-off.

  4. Launch

Submitted to the App Store and Google Play under your own developer accounts. We handle both store reviews, then help you announce the app to your customers and followers.

  5. Engage, analyse and repeat

Send drop alerts, back-in-your-size notifications and abandoned cart reminders by push. Track repeat purchase and push revenue in Twinr analytics, then keep improving. Store changes reach the app instantly.

Features to jobs

What a clothing app needs, and which Twinr feature covers it

Drop alerts that sell out

Push for new collections and limited runs at the minute they go live, sent to segments like past buyers of the category.

Push campaigns and automations →

Back in your size

Restock alerts tied to the size and colour a customer wanted, so a sold-out wishlist item turns into an order.

Segments and scheduled sends →

App-only edits and early access

Lookbooks, VIP previews and members-first sales on screens that exist only in the app, built in a drag-and-drop canvas.

Native screens and app-only pages →

Gift cards and memberships

In-app purchase support for digital gift cards and styling subscriptions, which Apple requires. Clothing stays on your existing checkout.

Native capabilities in every build →

Browsing on a bad connection

Offline browsing keeps visited product pages and lookbooks readable on the train, and shows your brand instead of a browser error.

How the native shell works →

Knowing what the app is worth

Sessions, retention, conversion and push-attributed revenue tracked natively, so you can see what each drop earned in the app.

What Twinr analytics measures →

Push notifications

Drops move faster than email

A new collection can sell out before a campaign email is opened. Push lands on the lock screen the moment a drop goes live and opens the exact product, and with Twinr it's included on every plan.

Store policy

App Store and Play Store rules that apply to clothing apps

The rules that decide whether a store app is approved, and what each one means for your checkout.

Physical goods are exempt from in-app purchase

Apple does not take commission on physical goods and services delivered outside the app, so your existing checkout and payment gateway are allowed and nothing changes about how you get paid.

What Twinr covers: the app renders your live checkout as it is. No integration work and no revenue share on Twinr's side either.

Digital goods must use in-app purchase

Downloads, memberships, courses and subscriptions consumed inside an iOS app must go through Apple in-app purchase. A web checkout for these is rejected.

What Twinr covers: in-app purchase support, so a store selling both can keep physical goods on its own checkout and route digital items through Apple.

Apple guideline 4.2.6 on templated apps

Apple rejects apps built from a commercialized template or app generation service unless the content owner submits them. A store wrapped with no native behaviour is the classic case, and it is where most website-to-app tools lose.

What Twinr covers: native navigation, onboarding, push, permissions and app-only screens, which is what review is looking for. Managed submission on Premium includes responding to reviewer questions.

Account deletion and data disclosure

If shoppers can create an account in the app, both stores require an in-app way to delete it, plus accurate privacy labels covering what your store collects.

What Twinr covers: the native account screen and permission prompts. The deletion route itself lives in your store, so confirm it exists before you submit.

01

How do I turn my clothing store into a mobile app?

Twinr builds native iOS and Android apps from your live store rather than rebuilding it. Products, variants, size guides and checkout keep coming from your site, and Twinr adds native navigation, push notifications, offline browsing and analytics on top.

02

Will size guides, fit tools and photo reviews work in the app?

Yes. The app renders your live store, so size charts, fit recommendation apps, photo and video reviews and try-on tools work as they do on the website, with nothing to rebuild.

03

Can I send restock alerts for a specific size?

Yes. Use your store's back-in-stock tool to capture the size a customer wants, then send the alert by push from Twinr, so it lands on their lock screen and opens the product.

04

Can I run app-only drops and early access?

Yes. Build app-only screens for previews, VIP access and members-first sales with Twinr native screens, and announce them by push to the right segment.

05

Do I have to pay Apple 30% on clothing sold in the app?

No. Physical goods are exempt from Apple in-app purchase, so your existing checkout and payment gateway keep working and Apple takes no commission. Digital gift cards or subscriptions used in the app are the exception.

06

Which platforms can be converted?

Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, PrestaShop, headless storefronts and custom builds. If your store works on a phone, it can be converted.

07

Will new collections show up in the app automatically?

Yes. Products, collections, lookbooks and promotions update in the app as soon as you publish them on your store, with no new build and no app store review.

08

Do I get separate iOS and Android apps?

Yes. Twinr builds a native iOS app and a native Android app from one project. Both pull from your live store, so they stay in sync.

09

Who owns the app and the store listings?

You do. The apps are published under your own Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so the listings, ratings and installed users belong to you.

10

How much does a clothing app cost?

A custom native build typically costs tens of thousands of dollars per platform and takes months. Twinr plans are published and start at $25 per month, with no revenue share and no per-order fee.
