Maya wants your studio for Sat, 2–6pm.
Providers reply in minutes, not hours
A new message or booking request reaches the provider's lock screen, so customers hear back while they're still deciding.
Turn your Sharetribe marketplace into a mobile app
Native iOS and Android apps built from the Sharetribe marketplace you already run. Listings, transactions, the inbox and Stripe payouts come with it, and push brings customers and providers back.
What carries over
The app loads your live marketplace, so nothing is rebuilt and both sides of the market come with it.
Your listing types, custom fields, filters and map search, as configured in Console.
Bookings by the day, night or hour, product purchases and inquiries, with your availability calendars.
Checkout, your commission and provider payouts run through Stripe exactly as on the web.
Customer and provider messages, requests and transaction updates in one place.
Two-sided reviews after each transaction, plus the user profiles that build trust.
Colours, logo, landing page and content pages edited in Console show up in the app.
Step by step
Five steps from your marketplace URL to a live app. You keep running the marketplace in Console throughout.
Walk both sides on a phone: search, a listing, the inbox, a booking or purchase, and a provider creating a listing. Sharetribe is mobile-ready, so most marketplaces need no fixes here.
Paste your marketplace URL into Twinr, ideally on your own custom domain. It adds a native tab bar, push, persistent login for both sides, camera uploads for listing photos and analytics.
Set your icon, splash screen and tabs, then install the preview build with a customer and a provider account. Book, message, pay with a Stripe test card and publish a listing from the phone.
Submitted under your own Apple and Google developer accounts. On Premium, the Twinr team handles the listing, screenshots and review responses.
Start with your most active providers, who gain most from instant alerts, then your regular customers. Promote the app with a banner on your landing page, Sharetribe email notifications and your newsletter.
Features to jobs
Maya wants your studio for Sat, 2–6pm.
A new message or booking request reaches the provider's lock screen, so customers hear back while they're still deciding.
3 listings match your saved search.
New listings in a category or city and seasonal offers give customers a reason to return, and each alert opens the right listing.
A nudge about an unfinished booking or an offer about to expire brings buyers back, signed in and a tap from checkout.
Leave Ravi a review while it's fresh.
Ask for a rating after each stay, delivery or job while it's fresh, so the next buyer finds the reviews that convince them.
After launch
No second admin. You keep working in Sharetribe Console, and the app follows.
Good to know
A few things need a check on a Sharetribe marketplace. Here's what they are and how to handle each.
Rentals, bookings, services and physical products can be paid through Sharetribe's Stripe checkout. Digital goods used inside the app usually need in-app purchase.
What Twinr covers: we review your listing types and payment flow with you before submission.
Apps with listings, messages or reviews from users must let people report content and block users, and you must act on reports.
What Twinr covers: Sharetribe's user and listing moderation in Console carries over. Make sure reporting is reachable from listings and profiles.
If people can sign up in the app, Apple requires a way to start account deletion from inside it.
What Twinr covers: account deletion from user settings is available in Sharetribe. We check it's reachable in the app before you submit.
Apple rejects apps that offer little beyond a mobile website.
What Twinr covers: native navigation, push, persistent login and camera access, which is what review looks for.
Options compared
Sharetribe runs your marketplace on the web. For iOS and Android, these are the routes operators usually weigh up.

|---|---|---|---|
| Sharetribe transaction processes | Every process at launch | Not supported | Rebuilt in native code |
| Providers, inbox and bookings | Both sides in one app | Left out | Rebuilt from the APIs |
| One catalogue, no second copy | Loads your live marketplace | A second catalogue to sync | Reads the Sharetribe APIs |
| Console changes reach the app | Instantly | Built around Shopify-style carts | Depends what was built |
| Push, analytics and native navigation | Built in | Store features only | Built three times: web, iOS, Android |
| Published entry price | From $25/mo | Monthly, single-brand stores | Tens of thousands per platform |
| Time to launch | Days, not months | Weeks | 6 to 12 months |

Yes. Twinr works from your marketplace URL, so a no-code marketplace managed in Console and a customized web template on the Developer Platform both work the same way.
Yes. Customers book or buy through your real Sharetribe transaction process, Stripe handles the payment and your commission, and providers are paid out as they are on the web.
Yes. Both sides sign in to the same app and see what your marketplace shows them, from a customer's bookings and inbox to a provider's listings, calendar and payouts.
Yes. Sharetribe's listing editor works in the app, and providers can add photos from their camera or photo library.
Sharetribe's email notifications keep working. In the app, you can send campaign and segmented pushes from the Twinr dashboard, and on the Developer Platform we can connect event pushes, like a new message or booking request, to your marketplace during setup.
No. Listing fields, branding, content pages and settings appear in the app immediately, with no new build and no store review. Only changes to the native shell, such as the app name or icon, need a resubmission.
You do. Apps are published under your own Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so the listings, reviews, users and data belong to you.
Twinr plans start at $25 per month, with unlimited push notifications and no share of your transactions. A custom native app built on the Sharetribe APIs typically costs tens of thousands of dollars per platform, plus ongoing upkeep.
