ROI calculator
What a native app costs you, and what it saves
Compare what it takes to build and maintain native iOS and Android apps yourself against running the same apps on Twinr. Works for any website, not just stores.

Build costs and timeline: Clutch’s reported figures across projects on its marketplace, published 21 September 2026. Twinr costs are our own published plan pricing. Both are estimates; your own quote will differ.
How this is worked out
- Build costs and the 11-month timeline come from Clutch, which reports figures across projects on its own marketplace rather than quoting itself. Published 21 September 2026.
- Twinr costs are the published plan prices on our pricing page, at the monthly rate. Annual billing is cheaper.
- Upkeep is a share of build cost per year, because a native app needs work each year whether or not it changes: OS releases, SDK deprecations and store policy updates.
- The ecommerce figures are an estimate built on your own numbers and the assumptions you set. App shoppers tend to be a store’s most loyal customers already, so treat an uplift as a direction, not a promise.
- Nothing here is a quote. If you want a real number for custom work, talk to us.
01 Where do the build costs come from?
Clutch, which reports cost and timeline figures across the projects on its marketplace. We use its $10,000 floor for the simplest scope and its $90,780 average project for the most involved. We chose it over agency pricing guides because an agency quoting the cost of agency work has an interest in the answer.
02 Why is upkeep a separate line?
Because it is the cost people forget. A native app needs work every year whether or not you change anything: iOS and Android ship releases, SDKs get deprecated and the stores change their policies. On Twinr that work is ours, and it is in the subscription.
03 Does this work if I do not sell anything online?
Yes. The build cost comparison needs nothing about revenue, so it works for a SaaS product, a publisher, a booking platform, an internal tool or a marketing site. The ecommerce section is a second mode you can ignore.
04 Can Twinr handle custom development?
Yes, on the Enterprise plan. That covers custom third-party, API and backend integrations, with end-to-end implementation by the Twinr team. The plan price is a starting point rather than a quote, so talk to us about scope.
05 Are the ecommerce numbers a forecast?
No. They are arithmetic on the numbers you enter and the assumptions you set, and the defaults are editable for that reason. App shoppers are usually a store’s most engaged customers already, so some of the difference between app and web is who is using the app rather than the app itself.
06 What does it actually cost to run an app on Twinr?
Plans start at $25 per month and cover both iOS and Android, with unlimited push notifications and no revenue share. The calculator uses Standard, Premium and Enterprise depending on the scope you pick.
